TRANSBASE ALCANENA II

TRANSBASE – TRANSPORTES E LOGÍSTICA, S.A. is headquartered in Alcanena. Transbase Alcanena belongs to the Mosqueteiros Group, one of the largest global multi-brand distribution groups operating in five European countries, including Portugal, where it has been present for 33 years. The group has created its own logistics system, organized around bases, where almost all products sold at points of sale are centralized. From supply to exploration, and even transportation, the entire logistics chain is optimized thanks to a solid structure based on the location of the bases. It opened in 1994 and operates in the freight transportation sector, as well as providing logistics services inherent to and necessary for the management and operation of food distribution warehouses, particularly the receiving, storage, packaging, and preparation of goods for distribution.

To improve its energy efficiency, the photovoltaic installation was expanded with 2,470 panels, allowing it to avoid approximately 453 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
