Founded in 1985, LactoSerra began its operations in 1990, in the village of Barracão, 4 km from the headquarters of the Aguiar da Beira municipality, in the Beira Alta region.
The company produces high-quality regional cheese using modern equipment and technologies. It currently employs around 25 people in a covered area of 4,000 m². In its own laboratory, equipped with the latest technology, the cheese produced undergoes strict laboratory-level quality control.
In partnership with Wenergia, they have invested in energy efficiency with a 469.8 kWp photovoltaic installation, allowing them to avoid 107.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
